Yurei Jungle Build and Item Order
Turn Yurei’s short cooldowns into sustained pressure by weaving empowered basic attacks between abilities. This Predecessor Yurei build prioritizes physical damage, mana, and ability haste to support her jungle clear and repeated spell casts. She’s a fragile assassin, so getting your damage out depends on managing Soul Rip resets and choosing your entry carefully.
Use this six-item progression as your starting framework:
| Order | Item or purchase priority | Build contribution |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mana-scaling clear item | Adds area damage for clearing and physical power that scales with total mana |
| 2 | Tainted Trident | Reduces enemy healing and adds damage against affected targets |
| 3 | Perforator | Adds a slow and physical armor penetration |
| 4 | Infernum | Adds damage over time based on enemy maximum health |
| 5 | Omen | Adds damage and reduces non-ultimate ability cooldowns |
| 6 | Physical penetration and movement-speed finisher | Adds stacking penetration and movement speed |
The opening purchase supports your farming, while the later slots add tools for fighting heroes. Keep physical power, mana, and ability haste central to your shopping decisions: her abilities deal physical damage, and her passive rewards frequent casting.
Tainted Trident supplies healing reduction. Prioritize applying that pressure to enemies relying on healing during a fight. Against armored targets, use the penetration portion of the build to keep your physical damage relevant.

Yurei Augments
Start with Soul Weaver for an ultimate-focused setup. It grants damage reduction while Soul Storm is active and reduces its cooldown, giving a squishy melee assassin protection during her channel.

Yurei’s hero augments offer these different effects:
- Soul Weaver: Soul Storm grants 20% damage reduction, plus 5% per hero hit, while active.
- Hallowed Reverberation: Hallowed Strikes gains 150 additional range and two extra bounces.
- Ephemeral Surge: Destroying Torn Spirits restores 3% of maximum mana and grants 25% decaying movement speed over 2.5 seconds.
With Hallowed Reverberation, make deliberate use of the extra reach on empowered attacks. With Ephemeral Surge, destroy Torn Spirits to recover mana and use the movement-speed burst to reposition.
For an execution-focused augment option, Executioner increases damage to heroes below 40% health by 6%. Focus your finishing damage on wounded targets to use that bonus.
Skill Order and Ability Priorities
Unlock Anima Burst, then Severance, then Whispering Echoes. After that, prioritize Anima Burst, followed by Severance and Whispering Echoes, while taking Soul Storm whenever available.

| Ability | Function | Practical use |
|---|---|---|
| Hallowed Strikes | Casting an ability grants two empowered ranged basic attacks with increased attack speed and bouncing physical damage | Weave basic attacks between spells |
| Anima Burst | Deals nearby physical damage, applies Soul Rip, and heals Yurei | Use during clears and close-range exchanges |
| Severance | Dashes forward and deals physical damage; hitting a Soul Rip-marked target consumes the mark and resets its cooldown | Apply a mark before committing your dash |
| Whispering Echoes | Launches three exploding projectiles that deal physical damage and apply Soul Rip | Set up a marked target from range |
| Soul Storm | Channels for 1.5 seconds, damaging and slowing nearby enemies before pulling them inward and dealing further damage | Catch enemies during grouped fights |
Anima Burst also launches Yurei upward when cast in the air. Practice that interaction before relying on it during an engagement.
How to Chain Soul Rip Resets
The central interaction is straightforward: apply Soul Rip, then hit the marked target with Severance. Consuming the mark resets Severance and leaves behind a Torn Spirit.

Practice this sequence:
- Apply Soul Rip with Whispering Echoes.
- Use empowered basic attacks while the target is within reach.
- Dash into the marked target with Severance to trigger its reset.
- Use Anima Burst at close range for damage, healing, and another Soul Rip application.
- Choose your next dash based on the target’s position and nearby threats.
Avoid rushing through every ability without attacking. Hallowed Strikes adds ranged, empowered basics to your damage pattern; use those attacks throughout the exchange.
For teamfights, use Soul Storm when enemies are close enough to take its channel damage and final pull. Pair it with Severance and Anima Burst to maintain pressure, but account for enemy crowd control before committing.
Jungle Clear, Ganks, and Teamfights
During the early game, keep clearing camps and look for ganks that can secure a kill or force an enemy Blink. Use Anima Burst’s damage and healing during your clear, and weave empowered attacks into your ability rotation.
Before entering a lane, check whether you can land a Soul Rip application. Approach with a reset opportunity in mind rather than spending Severance immediately on an unmarked target.
In the middle and late game, shift attention toward objectives and vulnerable enemy damage dealers. Approach fights from an angle, wait for an opening, and use your ranged empowered attacks before stepping into melee range.
Exercise particular care against Aurora, Feng Mao, and Khaimera. Yurei’s listed jungle matchup win rates against them are 45%, 46%, and 46.7%, respectively. Avoid forcing isolated fights into those opponents; bring nearby teammates into the engagement and preserve your farming opportunities when a contest looks unfavorable.
