Double Spellblade Ikra: Core Setup
This Predecessor Ikra build centers on Cascade, Demiurge, and double Spellblade damage. Cascade lets your right-click apply on-hit effects, while Demiurge increases the item damage that makes this setup threatening. The payoff comes from weaving basic attacks between right-clicks, but reaching your item spikes takes patience in midlane.
| Build component | Role in the setup |
|---|---|
| Cascade augment | Enables right-click to apply on-hit effects |
| Demiurge Eternal | Increases item damage, supporting the double Spellblade setup |
| Double Spellblade core | Supplies the item effects around which the damage pattern revolves |
| Wraith Leggings | Follow-up purchase after the core |
Build around the Cascade interaction. Its on-hit application is central to this setup’s damage loop. Demiurge then strengthens the item damage you are building around.
For sustained pressure, alternate basic attacks and right-clicks when you have room to attack safely. Keep repositioning between attacks rather than chasing through enemy threats to maintain the sequence.
The double Spellblade setup also provides tower pressure. Push a structure when enemies commit elsewhere and their positions give you a safe window to attack.

Skill Priority: Right-Click First, Q Second
Prioritize right-click for damage and its bonus-gold mechanic. Against opponents who can walk forward and punish you early, take Q at level two to have your crowd control available.

| Ability | Upgrade priority | Practical purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Right-click | Max first | Central damage tool with the bonus-gold mechanic |
| Q | Favor second when crowd control matters | More frequent access to the bubble |
| E | Leave behind Q when wave clear is sufficient | Helps clear minions through its interaction with right-click |
The choice between Q and E matters once your items start handling waves. Your right-click interacts with E to deal substantial damage to minions, so additional E ranks are less urgent when that interaction already clears effectively.
Favor Q second against threats you need to catch or interrupt. Having the bubble available more often gives you more opportunities to respond to pressure.
Do not prioritize E solely to increase gold income. The gold mechanic belongs to right-click; use the abilities together for wave clear while keeping right-click upgrades first.
Early Lane: Reach Your Item Spikes
Ikra’s early damage and wave clear are limited before items come online. Against a lane opponent who can pressure you directly, prioritize farming and survival over forcing repeated trades.

- Keep Q available when the opponent can advance on you. Spending your crowd control on the wave creates an opening for aggression.
- Avoid trading away too much health for lane pressure. Reaching your item spikes gives this setup more damage to work with.
- Reassess wave clear after completing items. Around two items, clearing becomes much more manageable.
- Watch your route toward jungle fights. Giving up safe positioning to contest a buff can expose you before your damage is ready.
Use E and right-click together to clear when you can do so safely. Adding Q to every wave spends the same ability you need to answer an enemy walking into attack range.
Wraith Matchup and Teamfight Decisions
Ikra’s all-rank, 30-day win rate sits at 45.2% across all roles and 45.4% in midlane. Those figures are a reason to respect the setup’s execution demands: strong item damage still requires safe positioning and accurate crowd control.

Against Wraith, treat landing Q as the opening for a trade. Once he has two items, avoid a straight damage race after missing the bubble. Back away and preserve your health instead of continuing the exchange without your key control tool.
In teamfights, watch for divers before committing to repeated attacks. Land the bubble on an approaching threat, then use the space it creates to weave basic attacks and right-clicks.
Follow allied engagements when you can contribute safely. If teammates cannot reach the fight and stepping forward would get you killed too, preserve your position. Near objectives, track the opposing threats and approach with your team so your damage has time to matter.
